Hunger shouldn’t be part of any veteran’s story.

West Virginia is a place where commitment to military service runs deep. Our veterans have worn the uniform with honor, but now, many face a different kind of battle: hunger. 1 in 5 military and veteran families report to struggle with food insecurity.

That’s why Mountaineer Food Bank created the Veterans Table Program. Every month, we provide 1,400 food boxes to veterans. No income requirements. No questions asked. Just the support they deserve. Because it's our duty to make sure those who fought for our country don’t have to fight for their next meal.

No veteran should be left behind—not on the battlefield, and not in the fight against hunger.

With the help of Disabled American Veterans, over 300 boxes are delivered to homebound veterans.

Pets of Vets

We provide pet food to veterans through the Pets of Vets program. These furry companions provide much needed physical and emotional assistance to our veterans.
