Mountaineer Food Bank, a proud member of Feeding America, envisions a West Virginia where no one goes to bed hungry—today or tomorrow. As the state’s largest emergency food provider, we distribute over 22 million meals annually to families, children, seniors, veterans, and individuals across 48 of the 55 counties in WV. Hunger is invisible and can impact anyone, anywhere, yet 1 in 6 West Virginians remain uncertain of their next meal. Guided by our mission to feed the hungry and empower communities, we partner with local food pantries and meal programs to strengthen access to nutritious food. Because food is not just fuel—it is a human right. And ending hunger takes all of us.

Mobile Pantry Schedule
Our Mobile Pantry program is designed to bring fresh, shelf-stable, and frozen food directly to communities where access to a traditional food pantry may be limited. Working with local partner agencies and volunteers, the Food Bank sets up temporary, drive-thru or walk-up distribution sites—often in parking lots or community centers—on scheduled dates. Families and individuals in need can receive pre-packed boxes or bags of food at no cost, helping to bridge the gap for those facing food insecurity. This system allows Mountaineer Food Bank to reach rural and underserved areas efficiently, ensuring healthy food gets into the hands of those who need it most.
